Cobra is a 2012 Malayalam film directed by Lal, starring Mammootty and Lal in the lead roles. The film is a comedy-action-thriller. The movie was composed by Alex Paul, and background score by Deepak Dev. It got a tremendous opening in vishu season.

This is first time Lal has directed a super-star film alone. And this was the first film directed by Lal with Mammootty as the hero.Lal has produced some other Mammootty films like Hitler, Black and Thommanum Makkalum which was becomes a huge hit. Actor Lalu Alex had sang 4 lines of the song "Ente Nenjinullile".

The movie got a tremendous opening for the vishu season getting in a share of 2.78 crore in first five days.^[10] .It has garnered a gross collection of 5.10 crores by the end of the two weeks, and could safely be called a winning proposition for the producers.

The film was released on 12 April 2012 and got mixed reviews mostly on the positive side from audience.

• "Theater Balcony":- gave a rating of ,explaining that "Cobra" is a fine mix of some good comedy, good direction, simple story, romance, fine action and some good emotional scene. Also they sum up,Cobra will end up as a good entertaining movie to celebrate the festival.

• "MetroMatinee":- rated the film as a good entertainer,But little more expected.

• "Malayalam Net":- gave a good rating of 2.5/5 and said that "Cobra" is a genuine entertainer for this vacation season
